Dr. Zarita F. Mattox was born in Brooklyn, New York, the eldest of five (5) children. She received the Lord & was filled with the Holy Ghost at the age of 20 on December 8, 1973 at Tabernacle Temple COGIC, Jersey City, NJ under the Leadership of Pastor Benjamin Allen, Sr. Later she joined Holy Temple COGIC, So. Toms River, NJ under the Pastorate of Dr. David C. Graham, where she was a member for over 38 years. She currently attends St. Mary Baptist Church in Punta Gorda Florida where she is the President of the Trustee Board, Ordained Member of the Mothers Board, Coordinator/ President of the Youth Department, Celebrate Recovery Ministry Leader, developing counseling services for the ministry and actively involved in the music ministry, performing arts events, Culinary/ hospitality services.
Dr. Zarita F .Mattox received her Education at; (1) Orange County Community College (Associate of Arts Degree: Performing Arts); (2) Kean University, Union, NJ (B.A. Degree: Early Childhood & Elementary Education); (3) Logos Bible College, Jacksonville, Fl. (Masters: Biblical Theology); (4) Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ (Masters: Library & Information Sciences); and (5) Cornerstone University, Lake Charles, La. (Ph.D.: Philosophy and Clinical Christian Counseling) and (6) Northwind Theological Seminary (Doctorate in Contextual Ministry Faith Based Education).
Dr. Zarita F. Mattox Professional and Ministry Leadership Experience encompasses a variety of positions: Founder/President of The Kingdom Center for H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Excel)501C3 Non-Profit which includes Dream Chasers and Dream Makers mentoring program for girls 10 yrs. old and up, Ministry Leader for Celebrate Recovery, Founder and Dean of God’s Word First School of Christian Counseling, She has retired from Ocean County Library, were she was the Chief Librarian/Branch Manager of the Toms River Branch Headquarters. Previously, she was employed as a Teacher & Director of various Day Cares, Headstart Centers, Christian Schools, and District Coordinator of Teen-Age Parenting Program for the Toms River Regional Schools.
Dr. Zarita F. Mattox extensive background in Development Training and her Entrepreneurial Experience is characterized by a multifaceted approach that aims to provide holistic care to those she serves in areas that meet the Whole/Total Person – Mind, Soul and Body. To that end, she has established several outreach programs & conducted workshops, conferences and seminars throughout the Country.
She is an Innovative, Dynamic, Anointed and Gifted Worshipper & Inspirational Speaker. She has travelled extensively throughout the Country and World proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, bringing a message of hope, love and joy to numerous souls.
Dr. Zarita F. Mattox loves her family and receives the full support of her and three (3) Adult Children, who give her their encouragement and blessings. She gives all the Praise, Glory & Honor to God for the Things He Has Done in her Life.
