Meet Anita Greene
SINGING HER WAY INTO METRO DETROIT, DOWNRIVER AND MONROE COMMUNITIES
I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love, I'm in love!
First and foremost, I am in love with my two daughters, Mayci and Marrisa. I adopted them as infants from Guatemala when I was 48 and 52 years old so I am living proof that it is never too late to start a new adventure!
Secondly, I am in love with music and creativity, especially if it's inspirational. I have been a professional entertainer for over 40 years, have traveled the country doing theater and music, and have taught singing lessons for over twenty years. I have written two children's books and composed, performed, and produced a children's music album dedicated to my two daughters and our experiences together.
Thirdly, I recently retired from a job that I loved as a school social worker at Southgate Asher School. I had been there 18 years and so enjoyed the many different populations that I worked with daily!
Lastly, I have recently "totally head over heals" fallen in love with the senior population of this area. I have entertained for years but have never experienced the immense joy, enrichment, challenge, and rewards that come from presenting Lori's Movin & Groovin program.
I look forward to bringing this life enriching program to participants of all ages!
